Pyrocephalus rubinus
This sparrow sized bird is distinguished by it's black body, with red head and lower parts of the body.
Females and youth are light brown on the top, with lightly white strips in the breasts, as well as yellow or pink in the breast.
They are generally silent, except during Spring, when males fly to a twig, and from there jump flying to catch mosquitoes, and then return to the same branch.
Within the municipality it is frequent to find them following the traveler. They fly in front of him/her, stopping at a branch to wait, and then repeat the operation.
