Micruroides euryxanthus
It is a small snake, 1 ft to close to 2 ft length.
There are several species that look alike. However, this one has shiny skin, with alternate rings with the following order> wide red, wide black, separated by narrow yellow or white rings. The rings go all around the body.
The head is totally black, up to the mandible.
It is very poisonous, although it cannot attack suddenly because it has a small mouth which cannot be totally opened to bite, like a rattlesnake
