
Black Tailed Rattlesnake

Crotalus molossus
It has a greenish, yellowish or grayish color, with crossed strips of irregular size that look like the rhombs of the diamondback rattlesnake. However, it's strips have a light border and center.
Their main characteristic is the very contrasting tail, which is black just before the rattle.
It lives in rocky places. Varies in size between a little under a yard to 1.25 yards. Captive, it is known to live up to 15 years.
