San Pedro y San Pablo de Tubutama

Tubutama

The Tubutama church as seen today. Interestingly, the main body of the temple is not perpendicular to the facade but extends to the left of the photo. This temple was built by one of the Franciscans, Francisco Barbastro, who was in Tubutama between 1776 and 1783, and dedicated it during his last year there. The baptistry, however, was built by Barbastro's successor, Francisco Yturralde. (Foto tomada por Alberto Suarez Barnett)

Altar Principal de Tubutama

The main altar of Tubutama's church. This is one of the few retables in the Pimeria Alta that escaped the modernizing efforts of the XIX century.
