Our Lady of Dolores del Cosari

A modern espadaña and cross commemorate the place where the first mission of Father Kino was established, in Dolores, as many years ago the original temple disappeared.

Dolores can be reached following the highway that starts from Magdalena toward Cucurpe. After going over the Torreon Range, there is a dirt road going North (left), with the sign "Las Golondrinas." By following this road, you will go down to the San Miguel River, and after following the road that goes parallel to the river, you will find the ruins of Dolores, on the right.
