
The Purisima Concepcion of Our Lady Caborca
The Caborca church in the XIX century. The building of this temple was begun by Father Andres Sanchez around 1803, and built under the direction of Father Fray Santiago Usuastegui and Father Fray Saturnino Arizeta. It was dedicated on May, 1809. The temple has suffered several floods. The last ones in 1917, when the Main altar and the neighboring Convent were destroyed, and in 1993, when the rebuilt convent was again destroyed, as well as a large part of the Sacristy, who had been rebuilt. |
